Food: 3/5 Stars Came here for the famous Coastal Seafood buffet spree. The oysters and the prawns were juicy and succulent. However, the crabs which were supposed to be the main character were quite a let down as mostly (especially the mud crabs) not fresh nor flavorful. Environment: 5/5 Stars Truly aesthetic and majestic. Whole place was spacious and seating arrangement was comfortable. Ambience was also cozy and not noisy. Service: 5/5 Stars The waiters and waitresses were attentive and responsive. Swift in cleaning the table and changing plates. Location: 5/5 Stars Strategically located in one of the most happening areas in down town. Price: 3/5 Stars A bit on the high side, comparing with same type of buffet offered by other hotels of similar league. Overall: 4/5 Stars

Overall experience: Evolution offers a buffet with a great balance of variety and premium touches. The setup is elegant yet welcoming, making it a nice spot for both casual dining and special occasions. Food: The seafood spread stood out with fresh oysters, slipper lobsters, and salted baked crab. A special highlight was the crab chowder puff, which was rich and comforting. My personal favorite was the double-boiled fish maw soup—deep in flavor and absolutely satisfying. Service: Staff were attentive, quick to clear plates, and made sure dishes were replenished promptly at the counters. Cost: Good value for the quality and selection offered, especially with unique dishes like salted baked crab and specialty soups.

Food delicious and superb. Ifftar with my family last night with 12 adult. Worth it for money compare last week ifftar at the Mesh Four Point totally out . Yesterday my birthday but FnB team not aware even i already spoke to the staff. This is 6th hotel my Ifftar this year after Mandarin Oriental, Hilton KL, W Hotel, JW Marriott, Grand Hyatt. Congrats Chef Alex the food quality totally 5 hotel standard and your staff kitchen very friendly. Definitely i will recommend to all my client and celebrities friend too.

Had dinner with my wife and 3 of our kids celebrating my wife birthday. Had such a great time. The staff are super friendly and also accommodating We had ala carte dinner - the kids just love the Mac and Cheese. The tiramisu bday cake was just delicious presented with special box and with some smoke do make the surprise special. Thanks you - we had fun and enjoy our dinner

Highly recommended for their seafood-on-ice counter!

The lunch buffet at Evolution Cafe is a delightful experience. With a wide array of main course options, including a customizable pasta station that guarantees delicious results, there's something to satisfy every palate. While the salad section is a bit limited, the cold appetizers more than make up for it. The dessert section is a standout, featuring a variety of treats and the added bonus of ice cream. Overall, it's a great value for the price. The ambiance in the newly renovated hotel and Evolution Cafe is bright and inviting, thanks to large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The friendly and attentive staff further enhance the dining experience.

My recent stay at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre included a buffet breakfast, and it was truly a wonderful experience dining at Evolution Cafe. The very friendly staff greeted us with warm, smiling faces and genuine hospitality. Service was efficient and attentive without being intrusive. The ambience of the restaurant was welcoming and very comfortable, with tables well-arranged with decent spacing. The overall food setup was neat and thoughtfully organised, making it easy to move around and explore the buffet. Food variety was impressive. There was a great selection of both local and international dishes to suit every palate. I personally love the roti canai — in my opinion, THE BEST — perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, paired beautifully with flavorful mutton curry and dhal. Not forgetting the fried mushrooms and flaky buttery croissants. I would not say that I will return because I am not a regular traveller to Kuala Lumpur. I rather leave my genuine review for hotel guests in the Renaissance so that they can try out the nice breakfast place.

Came for the Coastal Seafood Dinner for 2pax. I think it was a good spread of fresh seafood dishes, a lot of varieties indeed. So many to choose from. There's also some serving of meat too. In case anyone doesn't fancy much seafood although their main highlight is the seafood Desserts were soo yummy... There were many people celebrating their birthdays/company events too (small and big groups). The service was pretty good, staff is so friendly and damn good/excellent and attentive. Superb stuff I would say that other buffet places. If you are a Club Marriott Member you get a good discount.
